Our thermal water has been used to cure rheumatic diseases since Roman times. It has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect and is therefore still considered important for preventing and curing degenerative pathologies of the bones and joints, and applied in the form of mud or hot baths with hydromassage.
Artrorheumatic diseases can be cured with fangotherapy, or the combination of balneotherapy with fangotherapy. Fangotherapy should be carried out after fasting or 3-4 hours after eating.
The therapist applies a 10 cm layer of mud on the required part of the body at a temperature of around 40°C, unless prescribed otherwise by the doctor, taking into account that high temperatures can be difficult to tolerate and that lower temperatures can be perceived as cold.
